What happens to your photos, and the rules that come with them
A kiss scene uses real faces, so it is reasonable to want to know where those faces go. This guide follows an uploaded photo from your device to the moment it is deleted, then covers the consent and age rules that apply before anything is generated.
The life of an uploaded photo
Here is what happens, in order, after you upload Person A and Person B or a single couple photo.
- Upload: the photo goes into private storage. It is not placed on a public page, and access is through short-lived signed links rather than a permanent public address.
- Generation: the photo is used to create the still or video you asked for.
- Task ends: when the task completes, fails, is canceled or times out, the original photo is deleted.
- Never used: a photo you upload but never start a task with is cleaned up within 24 hours.
- Results: the generated image or video is kept for 7 days by default, then deleted automatically.
What the 7-day window means for you
Because results are deleted after a week, your own device ends up holding the only long-term copy. Download any image or clip you want as soon as it is ready. The other side of this is that a result you regret making does not stay on the service indefinitely. The privacy policy at /privacy has the full details.
Consent is a requirement, not a courtesy
Only upload photos you have the right to use, of people who have agreed to appear in a romantic scene. That includes the second person in a two-photo kiss and both people in a couple photo. A photo being public on social media is not consent, and neither is having dated someone in the past.
- Ask before you upload, not after you have a clip to show.
- If the other person says no, or you are not able to ask, do not make it.
- If you share the result, tell viewers it was made with AI wherever it could pass for a real moment.
Age rules
The service is only for adults. Before your first generation you are asked to confirm that you are 18 or older and to accept the content policy. The same line applies to everyone pictured. Photos of minors, content that makes anyone look under 18 and school settings are all prohibited, whatever the person's age is today.
What is never allowed
Some uses are banned outright, and breaking these rules can get an account banned. The complete list is on the content policy page at /content-policy.
- Explicit sexual content or nudity of any kind.
- Deepfakes of real people made without their consent, including public figures.
- Revenge porn, or any image meant to embarrass, threaten or harass someone.
- Anything involving minors or people who appear to be minors.
A short checklist before you upload
Four questions, ten seconds, before every upload.
- Does everyone pictured clearly look like an adult in this particular photo?
- Has each person agreed to a romantic AI scene?
- Have I cropped out other people, documents, screens or addresses in the background?
- Will I download the result within 7 days?
